GREAT POST, as usual. I think your humor and personality is the key ingredient to keeping you out of trouble. I enjoyed what Linda said about hearing different voices to various blogs. I would have to put a comedian voice to your blog, because you are so clever and funny...

I too had a pea coat. Tell Catalyst I bought my used pea coat in an Army Surplus store in Long Beach Calif. Lots of sailors go in and buy and trade. That was witout a doubt the warmest jacket I ever had! I was a much smaller size back then...

I just LOVE the way you spin a story and if you won't take my suggestion of doing a daily post in a newspaper, then write a book. I agree it would be too much trouble and I am married to a lawyer. However, he is a litigator and not an IP or patent attorney so he would not be much help in that way. However, I do relate t the "huh' defense...not from being accused by any other law enforcer but once again from being married to a lawyer. They have a way of bringing home those necessary skills required for work and employing them at home. After 22 years of marriage I think I have progressed from the "huh' stage to "how dare you" stage. Great story as usual...I like the depth of detail you use. It is quite engaging.DrSoosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04445723747109775244noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6536383360370947414.post-68923257610398010062010-06-26T23:53:21.553-05:002010-06-26T23:53:21.553-05:00The problem with copyright enforcement is that YOU...The problem with copyright enforcement is that YOU have to be the one who does the enforcement. Being a filmmaker I have had my work copied and uploaded to YouTube. And even though it says right there in the upload window terms of service NOT to upload content that you don't own... some pimple-face kid is just going to ignore it and do what they want to do anyway. It's a royal pain in the ass. But if your work takes off and it's copied all over the place, you can forget about trying to clamp a lid on it - It ends up like the growing red spot in "The Cat and The Hat". (c) Dr. Seuss, 1957Robert the Skeptichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10863488312604865183noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6536383360370947414.post-7635905868207455272010-06-26T23:01:32.485-05:002010-06-26T23:01:32.485-05:00This has nothing to do with the content of this po...This has nothing to do with the content of this post, though it was, as usual, a great post. And I have wondered about the copywrite thing, too. But as I was reading this, I realized that I give bloggers a 'voice' when reading to myself. For some reason, I have no clue why, when I read your posts, I use the voice of that guy that does the motel commercials - Tom Bodett or something like that? You know, one of those voices that you hear and know immediately who it is? Something about the cadence, maybe, of your sentence structure? Someone else I read, I use or hear the voice of Lewis Grizzard, and a woman blogger might be Lucille Ball. See what I mean? I don't do this consciously, but do find myself doing that. Like I said, that has nothing to do with this post! Gosh, I sound a little bit crazy, don't I!Wander to the Waysidehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14056931538024315352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6536383360370947414.post-40091847779303179402010-06-26T18:00:36.939-05:002010-06-26T18:00:36.939-05:00Jerry, I was never in the Navy or even the Coast G...Jerry, I was never in the Navy or even the Coast Guard but once upon a time...when I lived in North Dakota...I had a pea coat. I loved it because it gets cold in North Dakota for about 11 months of the year. But then I got another job and moved to Indianapolis. When I got there I discovered I no longer had my pea coat. (This may have had something to do with a girl or two I had to "say goodbye" to in the last week before I left North Dakota but I never found out.) I still wish I had that pea coat but since I now live in Arizona and it is 87 degrees today, I don't suppose I need it.

By the way, that was another great post!Catalysthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03804837416104556928noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6536383360370947414.post-18967295268267659752010-06-26T17:02:35.301-05:002010-06-26T17:02:35.301-05:00"Huh?"
