It has been an interesting few weeks. We have settled into
our new house – well, pretty much settled. I met the Chief Head and Neck Surgeon
at the M. D. Anderson Cancer Center who agreed to perform surgery on my benign
Pet Tumor. That is scheduled for July 12th. And I just returned from
an eight day trip to Canada where a met a black bear, eight ram, a mountain
goat and some really interesting people. Let’s see – somewhere in there my Pet
Tumor ended up with a massive infection which pretty much knocked me out of
circulation for a week. Other than that, not much going on.
I feel bad about my absence, so to make up for it I will
offer a present to you. A few months ago I produced slapped together an awe-inspiring
silly little U-Tube video of my trip to Canada last January. Friends and family
have assured me that surely it won an Academy Award. I haven’t received it yet…but
then, it could have been lost in the mail. We did move, ya’ know.
Here is the link. You are supposed to turn your sound on.
Now I will bestow upon you some pictures from my recent
trip. These are raw pictures…I haven’t had time to edit or mess around with
them. I even have about forty little videos that I haven’t even seen yet.
Hopefully I can find the energy to do another one of those U-Tube things again.

As you can see, someone was annoyed at me taking pictures of his butt |

I am slowly getting back in the groove – so you should be
seeing me around here a bit more.
Have a scrumptious weekend.
Lying in bed reading this on my kindle so I didn't look at the video for fear of waking the Engineer. The pictures are beautiful though!!
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure that's what happened with the Academy Award people -- using Kindle's late at night.
DeleteWow, the video and pictures are amazing! Sorry to hear that your Pet Tumor is giving you grief. Hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteThanks. All is okay -- humming through a day at a time.
DeleteBy golly! Those are some gorgeous pictures!
ReplyDeleteHope everything with the Pet Tumor works out. I'm off to check out that video now. Thanks for updating us, good sir.
Thank you sir. Hope you enjoy my attempt at video editing mastery.
DeleteWhat great photos. Glad things are settling in and looking up.
ReplyDeleteSo glad to see you up and about, Jerry! :)
ReplyDeleteStunning photos. Impressed!
ReplyDeleteYou are a fine photographer; beautiful country, isn't it? I was sorry to read you have been having some health concerns, but glad that you've been taken care of. So glad I couldn't even stop myself from finishing my sentence with a preposition.
ReplyDeleteBeautious pictures Jerry....glad to hear your pet tumor will be leaving you in July. I have one in my arm...it has taken me a month and a half to get into the surgeon to take a look at it....(I admit, I have not been vigorously trying...I keep hoping it will dissolve and disappear.) I too have been away...been busy with home projects...one huge one being replacing all our carpeting with laminate wooden floors! I felt like we were moving because we had to move so much of our stuff....which lead to another project of disposing of a lot of our stuff in lieu of putting it back! Good to have you back and hope you are happy in your new home.
ReplyDeleteFirst off, good luck with the medical stuff. My thoughts are with you!
ReplyDeleteSecondly, love those photos! It looks like you had a great trip. I haven't been up there in soooo long!
Take care buddy!
I enjoy your blog. I hope your surgery went well. Those mountains look so awesome! I do lots of nature photos.
